2-D Shapes

To begin our unit on 2D shapes, we read What is Round? and What is a Square? Then, we created a Venn diagram to compare circle and squares. We talked about each shapes number of sides and corners. We also learned a new math word vertices, where two point meet. Then we sorted foam shapes by circles and not circles. We will be sorting squares, triangles, and rectangles by examples and non-examples the rest of the week.
