Grinch Vocabulary

We are learning about Context Clues and used Grinchy Words and clues in sentences to help use define the Grinchy Words.

Holiday Place Value

We are continuing to learn about place value and comparing and ordering numbers up to 99, So we used used holiday lights to show a number in many ways and then used greater than, less than, and equal signs to compare numbers. Finally, we ordered the number from least to greatest.

Money Songs

We are learning about coins, their value and how to count by 2's and 5's to identify a group of coins value. We will be learning these songs in class and you can also sing them at home to reinforce those skills.

 

 

 

 

Thanksgiving

We had a fun week reading Thankgiving stories and learning about the Pilgrims and the Wompanog Indian tribe. We used Scholastic First Thanksgving virtual field trip to compare the daily life of Pilgrims to the Wompanoag tribe. We have also been learning about main events in stories including the problem and solution. We also wrote about what we were Thankful for. Last but not least we compared the today's chores to chores long ago.
